Clinch River Pavilion

Community members and local leaders gave a resounding thumbs up to the plans unveiled at a community meeting on Wednesday night. After structural engineering surveys revealed the extensive irreparable disrepair of the bowling alley structure, demolition and abatement was made possible through the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality’s Brownfields grants. We were left with a blank canvas that our planning team transformed into a space designed to meet a host of community needs, from serving as the new homesite of the Tazewell Farmers Market, to offering a new public events space for residents & visitors to enjoy, located right on our beautiful Clinch River. Our team is now actively pursuing funding opportunities to transition this project to the construction phase.
